Embedded with the troupes is the story about getting the photo. Being a veteran and for my sins was trained in public order drills a long time ago. I wanted to bring this unique skill set to the school of art in Wolverhampton.
Art students and academics aren't to use to veterans who have a different set of skills and training before we come to a university learning environment and to show case this in an artistic form gives them a bit of understanding into what it means to serve for a community or a country.
§This project has been about being embedded with the troupes, I do a lot of photography work within the circus community and have been documenting life with several independent circus company's as they performed up and down the country. Following the style of gonzo journalism, I want to capture the heart of the event with my camera, and being able to share a lifestyle that is exotic to the outsider.
